Pap Pap’s Pet Pantry was created on the belief that no family should have to surrender a beloved pet simply because of temporary economic challenges. By offering support with dog and cat food, the program helps prevent unnecessary shelter intake, reduces stress on families, and strengthens the human-animal bond.

More than just a food resource, Pap Pap’s Pet Pantry
represents dignity, hope, and community—ensuring
that pets remain where they belong: safe, fed, and
loved at home.

Our Pet Food Pantry provides temporary support to community members in need by offering free dog and cat food on a scheduled basis.

This program helps ensure that no pet goes hungry—and that families can focus on keeping
their animals healthy, safe, and at home.

What We Provide for Dogs

  • Dry and Wet Adult and Puppy Food.
  • Every family receives food based on the number of dogs in the home.
  • We can offer limited accommodations for allergies or mild dietary needs, but specialized veterinary diets cannot be offered at this time.

What We Provide for Cats

  • We provide Both wet and dry Cat & Kitten food.
  • Food amounts are based on the number of cats in the household.
  • For caretakers of feral or community cat colonies, we also offer bulk, lower-cost cat food to support large groups.

Requirements for Participation

To be eligible, all pets in the household must meet the following:

Spay or Neutered

  • Proof required
  • No breeding or intent to breed animals allowed while using this program
  • If your pet is not fixed, ARC offers low-income spay and neuter programs

These requirements help us promote responsible pet ownership and reduce overpopulation in
our community.

Important Pick-Up Rules

To keep our facility calm and safe:

  • Please do NOT bring your pets to the building for food pickup.
  • We have other animals onsite who are available for adoption—you are welcome to visit with them during your scheduled time!

Why We Do This
The ARC Pet Food Pantry exists because:

  • Pet food is expensive
  • Families fall on hard times
  • Animals deserve stability
  • Keeping pets with their families reduces shelter intake strengthens the entire community
  • Supporting pet owners

Helping pets stay fed means fewer surrenders, fewer hungry animals, and more families who can keep their beloved companions at home.
